Intelix products have been designed for the Custom Install industry. HDMI distribution has become every Custom Installers nightmare - with Intelix, these problems are in the past. HDshak and HDautobahn have been designed to move everything onto an HD level. Distribution using HDCP key replication allows for devices such as HDPVR's to display images on multiple displays. To simplify installations in legacy installations, Intelix have an HDMI distribution product that uses Co-Axial cable - simply re-use the existing antennae cabling and you have HDMI.

HIGH DEFINITION TV AND HDMI FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONED ANSWERED BELOW

I have had bad luck working with HDMI in the past. Why should I trust your system?

Intelix isn’t another “me-to manufacturer.” They have been providing audio-visual matrix and extender solutions for over a decade, including five generations of HDCP-compliant HDMI technology. Plus, trademarked HDshāk® processing guarantees performance or your money back.

My source only has two keys. How many outputs can I send it to?

The Intelix DIGI-HD-8X8 matrix transmits an input to any or all outputs. The matrix negotiates with the source and then separately negotiates with each and every destination.

I need more than eight inputs and outputs. Do you have a solution?

The Intelix DIGI-HD-8X8 features dual outputs per channel—a twisted pair output and an HDMI output—allowing you to daisy-chain multiple matrices or connect to an HDMI distribution amplifier.

My application requires deep color, but I know twisted pair cable has limited bandwidth? Do you support it?

Intelix DIGI-HD-UHR2 and DIGI-HD-IR2 twisted pair extenders support deep color, as well as other high-bandwidth, HDMI 1.3b features such as lip sync correction and HD audio. Both extender models employ diagnostic controls which allow you to customize your signal—adding or subtracting signal bandwidth—based the twisted pair cable’s available bandwidth.

My application has a bunch of analog sources. How do I integrate them into an HDMI system?

The Intelix DIGI-SCAL-11X2 converts analog audio and video, including stereo, YPbPr, composite video, S-video, and VGA, as well as DVI and digital audio to HDMI. Plus, it also scales the low resolution signals up to 720p or 1080p.

Some of my destinations are close and some of my destinations are far away. What should I do?

The Intelix DIGI-HD-8X8 matrix features eight twisted pair outputs and eight HDMI outputs, and both are live simultaneously. The HDMI outputs are ideal for the close destinations and the twisted pair outputs are ideal for the far destinations—simply connect to a compatible Intelix twisted pair receiver.

I only need a couple of inputs and outputs. Is there a better solution?

Intelix manufacturers a variety of HDMI solutions, including smaller matrices. The DIGI-HDMI-4X4 features four HDMI inputs, four HDMI outputs, and four twisted pair outputs. The DIGI-HDMI-4X2 features four HDMI inputs, two HDMI outputs, and two twisted pair outputs. And just like the DIGI-HD-8X8, both the HDMI and twisted pair outputs are live simultaneously.

I need to send an HDMI signal longer than your recommended spec. What should I do?

Intelix DIGI-HD-UHR2 extenders feature a buffering and amplification circuit allowing multiple units to be daisy-chained for extended distances.

This is quite the system. But how do I control it?

Intelix HDMI system components are compatible with third-party control systems via Ethernet, RS232, and IR. For less sophisticated applications, front panel control and included wireless remotes make operation a snap.

My customer isn’t a fan of touch panels, but she has a smart phone. Can I integrate it?

Intelix software provides control from any PC or device running Java, including smart phones and PDAs.

I am not a programmer, and I don’t work with any control system manufacturers. Do you have a solution for me?

The Intelix DIGI-HD-8X8 features eight pass-through IR channels which distribute remote IR commands from in-room controllers over the twisted pair cable and out of the matrix, thereby allowing complete control of source devices connected to the matrix, such as DVD players and receivers.

Is this equipment HDCP compliant?

Absolutely, Intelix HDMI system components are HDCP compliant. However, any upscaled and digitized analog signals will not be HDCP encrypted. By nature, analog signals are not protected and HDCP doesn’t apply.

I am used to working with analog audio-visual technology. Why should I convert to HDMI?

HDMI has become one of the most popular, widely used formats in AV installations. Unlike YPbPr, composite video, and S-video, HDMI delivers 1080p high-definition video and delivers audio and video over a single cable.
